School Programs

"Getting to Know Me Through Yoga" is offered in schools through the Arts-In-Education program, and was created specifically for kindergarten through 8th grade. The program teaches children breathing techniques aimed at decreasing stress and anxiety, and yoga poses aimed at developing stronger bodies. These lessons are intended expressly to increase the student's self-awareness and hone attention skills to enhance learning readiness and improve concentration.

"Yoga for the High School Athlete" focuses on teaching athletes targeted yoga poses to help strengthen their bodies, as well as poses that can help prevent injuries. There are also poses that are geared toward helping student athletes who may have suffered injuries in the past or are in the midst of a rehabilitation, to heal their bodies.

"Yoga for the Teen-aged Girl" uses the application of yoga to enable young women to feel stronger and more comfortable with their rapidly changing bodies. This class is intended to increase self-esteem and instill a sense of empowerment.

School programs are recognized and listed with Eastern Suffolk BOCES.
